How much does a NovusAer filtration system cost?
Great question. And like many good questions, the answer is: it depends.
The NovusAer system is what we call an applied product—meaning it’s not a simple “plug-and-play” solution. Every home is a little different, and several factors can affect the total installation cost. Let me walk you through the main variables that can make the job easier or more complex—and more or less expensive.

-
Are you installing it with a new furnace? If yes, it’ll cost less because the contractor is already on-site. If the system is being installed on its own, expect a higher labor cost due to the extra trip.
-
Will it need to be mounted on a duct extension or return box? This adds time, labor, and materials.
-
Will anything else need to be moved or rerouted? If the gas line, electrical wiring, condensate drain, vent pipes, or control wiring need to be adjusted, that will increase the cost.
-
Is there enough space in your mechanical room? If the furnace, water heater, softener, or any other appliances need to be shifted to make room, those changes can drive up the cost significantly.
-
And here’s my favorite variable to discuss: the contractor. Is your contractor licensed, trained, certified, and pulling permits? Do they offer warranty support and know what it takes to stay in business long-term? A top-tier contractor charges more—but in my experience, you get what you pay for. A less qualified contractor might offer a lower price, but they may not be around next year if something goes wrong.
I wanted you to understand these variables before jumping straight to the price range. Now that you know what can affect your installation, take a look at the Budget Range Table below. And even this requires a disclaimer (sorry)... we sell the NovusAer to the dealer at a wholesale price. How much they mark it up and charge for the installation is up to them (see factors listed above). But with all that said, these ranges should still be what you can expect.

These are average ranges I’ve seen for completed projects. Some have been more. Some less. What this table doesn't show is the Annual Cost of Ownership. You might be surprised to learn that while the NovusAer may cost more to install than standard filters, it actually has one of the lowest ongoing ownership costs among high-efficiency media air filters.
